Ironically, I started to post a comment here last week about Ann's unfortunate tendency to undermine her own brilliance with her mean mouth. And now we have the John Edwards comment at CPAC. I am so disappointed. Many people considered Edwards pretty much dead in the water, but at this point it looks like Ann has given him CPR. WHY does she INSIST on lowering herself to the level that WE criticize in the Libs! Why is it okay for her to call people names, but not okay for the Libs to call Bush "Hitler"?? Ann has an amazing mind. "Godless" was a brilliant book/premise -- but I almost couldn't get through it due to the constant insults and stupid digressions. To do it is juvenile and mean and completely undercuts her credibility -- it's terrible to not have her as a respected, loud voice in our camp. I don't care WHAT her reasons were for saying that, this wkend. I don't care whether the press focuses more on our gaffes than the Libs'. Those are not the point. It simply is wrong, and we are supposed to be above it, period!
